Sanctuary 03:46
Let us be a people, and let this be a place where anyone may gather, to encounter Jesus’ grace. For if He is our shelter, a haven safe and sure, then on this firm foundation let us open up our doors. Let us be a sanctuary, a place of belonging in His name, where doubts and fears, where Joy and tears will not be met with shame. Let us be a sanctuary, a place where the grace of God flows free, where those with burdens, the whole, or hurting will find a welcome here. Guide us in compassion, lead us to Your heart, to love without condition and come just as we are, to make a space for questions, for laughter and for grief, to sit within the tension of our feelings and beliefs. May all who search, those scarred by church, come find a welcome here.

Forgive us 04:25
Forgive us for each time we fail to love our neighbours as ourselves, for every time our hearts resist your call. Forgive our pride and apathy, and when our eyes neglect to see the image of our Maker in us all. Come, and search the heart of your church, Oh God. Set our feet to always walk your way. May each footstep show your righteousness and grace. Forgive us when our habits lead to exploitation, sin, and greed, when lesser things distract us with desire. Forgive us when our daily lives complicitly consume the lies that you will not provide all we require. Come, and search the heart of your church, Oh God. Set our feet to always walk your way. May each footstep show your righteousness and grace. Teach us to treasure mercy act with justice, to walk in humility with You. (Repeat) May each footstep show your righteousness and grace.

On the night he was betrayed Jesus took the paschal bread, and as he broke the loaf apart we hear what He said: "This is my body, broken, given for you. Take, and eat in remembrance of me". Then He lifted high the cup; sign of Covenantal grace, now a symbol of the new: Jesus in our place. “This is my blood now poured out, given for you. Take and drink in remembrance of me" So we break this bread, and we take this wine. We proclaim his death until the end of time. (Repeat) "This is my body, broken, given for you. Take, and eat in remembrance of me". “This is my blood now poured out, given for you. Take and drink in remembrance of me". “Eat and drink in remembrance of me”.

Written as part of the Resound Worship 12 Song Challenge in 2020, and recorded remotely during 2021, these are songs which call on the church to examine herself, and seek forgiveness and renewal to be the kind of people Jesus wants us to be.
